The RCD block (RCU) is designed for customer-side installation with circuit breakers of the S200 series. The resulting RCD/MCB combination (RCBOs) provides protection for persons and property as well as protection against electrically ignited fires in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-410 and DIN VDE 0100-530. They ensure protection for 1P+N, 2P, 3P, 3P+N, or 4P circuits against overload and short-circuit currents, protection for sinusoidal alternating currents and pulsating currents with a smooth DC fault current component of up to 6 mA to earth. Additionally, they provide fault protection (protection against indirect contact), supplementary protection (with I?n = 30 mA), and fire protection (with I?n = 300 mA). They comply with the product standard IEC/EN 61009 Annex G. Application areas include household, commercial, and industrial applications. The extensive range of accessories provides everything you need for your installation tasks. The rated short-circuit capacity is 6 kA for S200 MCBs, 10 kA for S200 M, and 25 kA for S200 P.
