Product details

Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD) with Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) according to IEC/EN 62606 and IEC/EN 60898-1 provides protection against series and parallel arc faults, overcurrent protection (overload or short circuit), surge protection (only for internal AFDD), and protection against electrically ignited fires in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-420. Mandatory application areas according to DIN VDE 01000 are in single-phase AC systems with In = 16 A in sleeping or living areas of homes and day care facilities for children, disabled or elderly people, or in barrier-free apartments, as well as in rooms or locations with fire risk (with special fire hazards, fire-prone workplaces), predominantly made of combustible building materials. The risk of irreplaceable goods - cultural assets of particularly high value and in single-phase final circuits that supply electrical equipment in the mentioned areas or traverse these areas. The use of AFDDs is recommended in rooms with sleeping facilities, rooms or locations with fire-spreading structures, and final circuits with high connection power. Generally, the AFDD is also recommended to enhance fire protection against electrically ignited fires. LED indicator to identify the cause of tripping. Its patented connection terminals with Push-In technology ensure easy and secure contact and handling. The upper outgoing Push-In terminal can accommodate conductors of up to 2 x 4 mm². On the input side, PSX phase rails can be used for cross-wiring. Rated breaking capacity according to IEC/EN 60898-1 Icn = 6 kA. AFDD+MCB SX-ARC1 is single-pole protected (LS), double-pole switching.
