Product details

Scotch 2228 Black, made from Ethylene-Propylene Rubber (EPR) coated with a temperature-stable mastic, offers excellent dielectric properties. It is compatible with all cable sheath materials and is resistant to ozone and UV rays. With a thickness of 1.65 mm, it is particularly well-suited for the rapid installation of insulation and sealing, forming homogeneous, self-fusing wrap layers. It is highly resistant to environmental influences and moisture. At 80 to 100% elongation, it demonstrates good homogeneous welding. Applications include the production of insulation up to 1 kV, cable sheath replacement, and moisture sealing for all types of cables in both indoor and outdoor environments.
