For cable and electrical insulation: The black Scotch universal insulating tape is a self-adhesive PVC tape designed for the insulation and repair of electrical wires. It is the ideal insulating tape for power cables and other lines. Made from a particularly flexible PVC film with high stretchability, it conforms perfectly to uneven surfaces. It unwinds easily and adheres without requiring much pressure. In addition to electrical insulation, it can be used to secure loose cables, protect stressed cable sheaths, or for color coding. The insulating tape adheres reliably at temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 90 °C. It is flame-retardant and provides protection against electrical voltages up to 6,000 volts. The Scotch insulating tape is VDE tested and certified according to IEC standard 454-3-1. The package includes a roll of black insulating tape measuring 15 mm x 10 m.
