The Scotch® Fiberglass Cloth Tape 27 withstands a breakdown voltage of 3,000 volts and belongs to insulation class B with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C. It is well-suited for insulating high-heat-generating electrical components and as protective wrapping against heat radiation. Like all fiberglass tapes, it is particularly tear and abrasion resistant, ensuring long functionality even under high mechanical stress, such as in electric motors. Due to its elasticity, the insulating tape coated with a heat-curing rubber adhesive adapts excellently to various substrates. At the same time, the printable fabric structure provides excellent absorption of resins and paints.
