Tartan tape 8954 is a standard filament tape made from ScotchPro polypropylene film and a synthetic rubber adhesive. The fiberglass reinforcement in both the longitudinal and transverse directions significantly increases the tape's tear resistance. The 3M Tartan filament tape 8954 is a reinforced standard filament tape that is particularly suitable for bonding heavy cartons as well as for securing and bundling applications. After application, the tape maintains its functionality at all temperatures typically encountered during the transport and storage of packages. It is ideal for hazardous materials transport packaging and is characterized by its high tensile strength (1350 N / 100 mm) and elongation at break (10).
