Product Name: 1:72 V-22 Osprey Tilt Rotor
The project for the innovative Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was initiated in the 1980s. However, it was not until after a long and complex development process that lasted over twenty years that deliveries began to the operational branches of the United States Armed Forces. The V-22 is a tiltrotor aircraft equipped with large three-blade propellers, allowing for vertical takeoff and landing like a helicopter. Its flight performance is comparable to that of a conventional propeller aircraft. With two Rolls-Royce T406-AD-400 engines producing 6,150 horsepower, the V-22 can exceed 500 km/h in horizontal flight. The United States Marine Corps uses the V-22 primarily for landing support operations, and in 2007, the Osprey participated in its first operational missions in Iraq.
