The armored personnel carrier Sd.Kfz. 251 was a half-track vehicle used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. Powered by a Maybach 6-cylinder gasoline engine, the special vehicle 251 could reach speeds of up to 55 km/h even off-road. The armored personnel carrier was produced in large quantities and primarily used for transporting armored infantry. However, several versions were developed during the war to meet various military requirements. The "ambulance vehicle" 251/8 was deployed near the front lines. It could transport up to eight seated casualties or four seated casualties and two stretchers, along with the necessary medical equipment.
