The armored personnel carrier Sd.Kfz. 250 was extensively used by German mechanized troops during World War II. Developed on the technical basis of the artillery tractor Sd.Kfz. 10, it was intended to provide a flexible and reliable solution for integrating infantry movements with armored units. The Sd.Kfz. 250 was armed with one or two 7.92 mm MG34 machine guns and could transport a four-man infantry team well protected onto the battlefield. The vehicle's appreciation led to the development of numerous variants, including the light command vehicle 250/3, which served as a central hub for radio communication between advancing troops, artillery, and the air force. The "Greif" is particularly famous, as it was used by Erwin Rommel in North Africa as a genuine forward command post in close contact with front-line troops.
