The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I is undoubtedly one of the most famous tanks of World War II. It was developed to equip the Wehrmacht's armored divisions with a heavily armored and well-armed tank, complementing the popular medium tanks Panzer III and Panzer IV, which were no longer capable of effectively combating enemy tanks. Its main armament was the famous and deadly 88 mm anti-tank gun KwK 36 L/56. Installed in the turret and protected by a heavy 120 mm shield, it was capable of penetrating the armor of any enemy vehicle of its time, even at great distances. It was deployed in all major theaters of operation and actively participated in German military operations in Normandy and on the Western Front. Although the heavy tank faced issues with reliability and deployment, it was always greatly feared in the hands of experienced crews among the Allied forces.
