The model is a replica of the F/A-18E Super Hornet aircraft. The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is a modern twin-engine, carrier-capable single-seat fighter, directly derived from the original design of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. It is larger and heavier than its predecessor and features significantly improved flight and combat performance. The most easily recognizable characteristics are the new shape of the wings, which ensure the highest standards of maneuverability, the inlet ramps for the engines, and the tail. It was introduced into service with the United States Navy in the early 2000s to replace the F-14 Tomcats for fleet air defense missions. With a greater operational range and the introduction of advanced avionics systems, it is one of the most effective carrier-based fighters. It is equipped with a 20mm M61 internal cannon and can carry air-to-air missiles on its hardpoints. To fulfill its secondary role as an attack aircraft, it can also deliver an impressive variety of air-to-surface munitions.
