The model is a replica of the Porsche 944 S Cabrio. The Porsche 944 was produced from 1982 to 1991 and was an evolution of the 924 model, maintaining the aesthetic line. The car was originally equipped with a fuel-injected engine starting at 2479 cc, capable of delivering 163 hp, and was built according to the transaxle concept (rear engine and front gearshift). The 944 was produced in various versions with different engines and a comprehensive redesign of the interior in both coupe and convertible configurations. In particular, the S variant introduced in 1987 was equipped with a 16-valve engine that produced 189 hp and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. A total of 9,800 units were built. In 1989, Porsche introduced the 944 S Cabriolet with a convertible body, which also achieved good commercial success in the U.S. market.
