The central processing unit (CPU) is the portion of a computer system that carries out the instructions of a computer program, to perform the basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of the system. The CPU plays a role somewhat analogous to the brain in the computer. The term has been in use in the computer industry at least since the early 1960s. The form, design and implementation of CPUs have changed dramatically since the earliest examples, but their fundamental operation remains much the same.more

Availability: Coffeelake Mobo & CPU

Tomorrow is the official release day of the 8th Gen Intel CPU's, over the last week I have seen the CPU's been added and removed (except the 8700k) and was wondering if we will be able to order z370 mobo's and the 8700k today like on newegg=( or will we have to wait 'til tomorrow? It would be nice to know as there are rumours of widespread scarcity and I'd rather not wait 'til January. :)
