I bought this decoder with the set-access card to receive Swiss channels on Hotbird 13. But this device does not have the 13 setting, only hotbird 6/8/9, I have no signal and no SSR/SRG channels. How can I get Swiss channels? Pierre-Alain

I returned this set-top box to Digitec and bought a TechniStar S6 instead, the TechniBox HD VAC was not picking up any Hotbird 13 signal.

Hello Pierre-Alain
Dominique.rheme's answer is precise, it should work. I was myself disturbed by the number 13 or Hotbird 6/8/9 but these are only names to be able to distinguish the Hotbird satellite from other satellites (e.g. Astra). As long as the antenna is pointed at Hotbird, the receiver will pick up the programmed frequencies.

Hello Pierre-Alain,
the good news is that it is possible and the bad news is that I don't remember in detail how I did it (more than 3 years ago). Basically, you have to go on the Internet to search and retrieve (download or copy?) the missing frequencies (channels), unzip the files (which are large and compressed) and then copy them unzipped on a USB key. Then plug this USB key into the decoder and import the files. If I remember correctly, they then set up by themselves. The discussions on the forums helped me a lot. Sincerely, Klaus

Hello Pierre-Alain, I have not used this device. But I confirm Touarag's answer.

hello Pierre-Alain just to inform you that the 13 in question is simply the orientation of the hotbird satellite, i.e. 13 East
