The flagship router for gigabit internet (fiber7)

This is the router you want to enjoy symmetrical 1gbps from fiber7. This + the digitech fiber7 pack. Set the TP-LINK converter to AUTO mode (button behind), replace the firmware on this router for Merlin and you are done.

The default firmware only gets around 400-600 Mbps, so you have to replace it with asuswrt-merlin. Just download the file and upload it on the router UI. The results I got were 950-950 symmetrical by cable: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result...

The wifi settings are really helpful, having both 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks, on top of the guest networks. I end up using mostly the 5ghz though. more
