TP-Link Archer AX73 Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Router AX5400
i've replaced an ASUS high end router with this tp-link archer router because it got a lot of reviews mentioning its reliable signal. the archer has not disappointed me. i'm running this router now in my apartment without mesh and any additional repeaters and it hasn't dropped WIFI or ethernet cable network connection once. the management console (HTML/browser or android app) is way less overloaded with graphics and clunky menus than the ASUS one and thus much simpler to manage.

It is not so easy to find a WiFi router/access point that reliably supports the OpenVPN protocol and the most common VPN providers such as NordVPN, ExpressVP or ProtonVPN in VPN client mode and also works stably and reliably in 24/7 continuous use. Many routers offer VPN server mode, but not OpenVPN client.
I had to search for some time, but have now found a WiFi 6 router in the TP-LINK ARCHER AX73,
that can handle both VPN modes with ease. The device is now going into the steaming and IPTV endurance test.

I bought this router to replace my UPC Wifi.
Within 5 minutes I had set up the network with the Tether app and my TP link surveillance cameras synchronised automatically and the app also adopted the assigned names.
The signal reaches every room/floor (140 sqm).
All-round satisfaction TP link! :D

I mounted the Tp-Link on the wall and connected it as described. The disappointment was great: None of the 4 LAN outputs brings an Internet signal! First, the Tether APP must be downloaded to the smartphone and thus programmed the WLAN, which is quite simple. Then the LAN outputs also have internet connection.
When the TP-Link is mounted like in the picture, the LEDs are not visible. I helped myself out with a white cardboard (business card). For the labeling, I photographed the display, printed the image mirrored and properly scaled and stuck it on the business card.So the operating status is also visible from the ground.
The automatic switch from 5G to 2.4G can lead to problems with devices controlled via APPs, because they often require that both devices (eg smartphone and radio) are connected to the same WLAN.
