The device looks smart. However, the menu and operation are from the Stone Age. The menu is extremely stagnant - Netflix and co are a horror to operate.

Works well for the purpose for which I bought it. Netflix and similar services don't interest me, though. I really only need it as a streaming client for my Dreambox. It's at home and the Fantec is in the holiday home where there is no decent cable TV. The network is connected to the LAN at home via router-terminated IPsec VPN.
Thanks to Android and a reasonably functioning browser in the Fantec (operable with a mouse) I now have access to the web control of the Dreambox and can use the entire cable TV offer at home and also all my recorded films in the holiday home. Programming the DM also works from here. Unfortunately, these are functions that a Smart TV cannot handle by itself; at least not a Samsung because of the completely unusable browser. However, a firewall that can handle LAN to LAN VPN and a DynDns account are required at both locations.

Well-known streaming services should already be pre-installed, but they are not. Small and compact device that can be placed well.
