This is exactly what Western Digital’s newest cloud storage solution, My Cloud Home, offers. All you need to do is plug it in and download the app – and you’re ready to go. You’ll have access to your data any time and from any device, no matter if you’re working with Mac or PC, iOS or Android. And the best thing: If you have enough mobile data available, you can automatically save a back-up of all your pictures and videos from your phone on your hard disk at home – from anywhere you are.
My Cloud Home
The version with a single drive is sufficient for simple requirements. It runs without fan and is therefore hardly audible, while still offering the same range of services as the larger version: reliable backups, constant availability from anywhere, central data storage for all your computers and mobile devices and apps for various applications, such as Amazon's Alexa.
My Cloud Home Duo
My Cloud Home Duo offers you even more security. It comes equipped with two hard drives and is set to Mirror Mode, so all your photos, videos and files are stored on one drive and automatically duplicated onto the second drive for extra peace of mind. Although equipped with a fan, My Cloud Home Duo also runs quietly and efficiently. With its enormous storage space of up to 20 TB, this device can store large data volumes; creating an immediate backup of a large family's data is no problem for My Cloud Home Duo.
