Fellowes LX201: Solid document shredder that you can also use to shred your tie with confidence

Last year, Digitec Galaxus sold over 4000 shredders. In the age of the paperless office, that's a decent number. I grabbed the Fellowes LX201 and had a look at what else it shreds apart from paper.
With the Fellowes Powershred LX201, you can shred files into 2×12 millimetre shreds. Even professional puzzlers won't be able to put your confidential papers back together.

The document shredder is suitable for home or small offices
What else can the device do?
An LED display gives you information about the fill level, cutting capacity utilisation and operating time. Fellowes is also concerned about safety. That's why a sensor registers when fingers or other things that don't belong in the shredder are near the feed. The shredder then stops the process and only continues automatically when fingers or similar items are removed again.
100 per cent jam-free - really?
Fellowes also advertises the product as 100 per cent jam-free. So there should be no paper jams.
I want to find out for myself. In the video above, you can see how I shred paper and stuff that definitely doesn't belong in a paper shredder. Small spoiler: The LX201 has no trouble with paper. The device does its intended job perfectly and there's nothing to complain about - but there is one thing: I didn't manage to attach the paper shred collection bag in such a way that it holds and all the shreds end up in the bag.
