Hello everyone.
I would like to set up Sonos in our home. I don't have a Sonos product yet.
What would you recommend for a device? Children's room / bedroom and in the living area.
Is there a good starter set?
Can you operate several accounts at the same time? (children's room/living room)?
Thank you very much for your help.
Greetings Schwingiii
Sonos has released a new app version! Some important functions are missing. Alarm clock, snooze button and worst of all the NAS is also gone. You are forced to use the cloud. The owners of devices are being patronised by Sonos in the worst possible way as to what they can do with their devices. Why is a manufacturer making its own products unusable?
... When I bought my first Sonos box (Five), the range was still clear and the possible combinations were clear. Now, in addition to my Five, which provides sound in my living room, I wanted a box for our 40 sqm terrace. During the cool seasons, I would put the box in the bedroom. Which box is suitable for the covered terrace (box comes in when it rains), which can be coupled with the Five and which has LAN? I really hope that someone can help me. Thank you very much.
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
I have the following products:
Living room / kitchen open approx. 30m2
2x Sonos One SL
1x ARC
1x Sub
bedroom:
1x Beam
Hallway:
1x Sonos OneSL
Dressing room:
1x Sonos One
Bathroom:
1x Sonos One Sl
Terrace:
1x Sonos One SL
My question is;
I want 2x ERA 300 in the living room and additionally a SUB.
Is that excessive?
Kind regards
Luigi Gabinato
Good evening everyone. I bought the Sonos Arc in white about two months ago and I am thrilled with this soundbar. Now I wanted to ask here in the community whether an extension with two Sonos One speakers behind the sofa is worthwhile and whether the difference is big. The sub would be added later at some point. Thanks for the answer.
Does anyone have experience with Sonos Arc and Swisscom TV? Is it compatible?
Unfortunately, the Sonos Arc only has one HDMI connection (Toslink only emergency solution).
I would like a current soundbar (Dolby Atmos) with which I can also integrate my 2 Sonos One Gen 2 and thus set up a 5.1 home cinema.
Many thanks for the contributions
Dear Community
I am looking for a suitable sound system for my shop with which I can play music for my guests in good quality. What can you recommend? It would be good if I could mount the speakers on the wall and ideally if they could be charged and didn't need a direct power connection. Is there anything good from Sonos?
Kind regards
Hi to you
Today I updated my Philips TV after a long time. The message came up that the DTS Play-Fi function is now available.
Since I have a Sonos system, I wanted to connect it to Play-Fi, but it didn't work. I couldn't find anything about it on the internet and now I suspect that it doesn't work.
Is this true?
Best regards from the BeO

Yes, I love promotions that are unfortunately no longer available.
Digitec is like all on the market action action until you order and then it has no more or.
It's all just pretence than reality Companies let me tell you one thing Customers are not true traders They are human beings Yes, I don't think that has got through to you Honesty is the best policy
Hi - Should I replace my Playbar with the Beam? What do you say?

Dear Community,
I would like to buy one or a set of Sonos speakers for audio (initially for one room, living room). I would also like to integrate my classic CD player (with amplifier if necessary) into this system. What Sonos components do I need? Streaming via Apple Music would also be another option that I would like to use? Later then TV (next step). Thank you very much for your input!
I have recently connected a CD player to the SONOS connect via the analogue audio input. This works, but I have to share the input with the record player, which I have also connected to the analogue audio input. This means changing cables every time. Is there a solution for this, e.g. a cinch double plug?
I found the Sony MDR-HW700DS Wireless Surround Headphones (Over-Ear) at digitec. I could connect these via the SONOS port.
Does that work? Can I then play music and TV only via the headphones?
Software updates for Sonos devices between 2005 and 2011 will be discontinued
I bought a Play 5 in 2015. Now I receive an email from Sonos informing me that updates for these devices will no longer be offered from May onwards. Instead, I can buy a new device from Sonos with a 30% discount. That can't be it. My device is not even 5 years old and there were no two variants when I bought it, i.e. I bought the latest part. Does anyone know a smart way to proceed?
Thanks
Kurt
I would like to replace the old stereo system, but in such a way that I can continue to use my LPs and CDs.
can continue to use them.
New purchase: Record player 1x
6 CD changer 1x
Amplifier 1x
Sonos Port 1x
Sonso Play 5 2x
Can I configure the system like this or would it make more sense to use a second Sonos port instead of the amplifier?
Maybe I'm totally wrong, in which case please correct me.
An enthusiastic Sonos beginner.
Why is there no way to connect a TV to Sonos via HDMI or optical cable without using those big bases? Connect should have an optical input! I don't understand why this hasn't been realised yet. I don't need any additional speakers and I don't want to connect it via analogue, because it doesn't work automatically.
Does anyone have a tip?
Hello Galaxus Team,
Will there also be bundles with the Sonos One SL?
For example, SONOS Beam or Playbar (possibly with and without Sub) and 2 One SL would make a lot of sense.
hello, I have a question, hope someone can help me there?
I already have 2 Sonos One and now I want to buy another Sonos 5. Can I connect the 3 boxes without an additional device and control them with the app? I meant but a certain number of boxes you need an intermediate device....
Could someone explain to me in layman's terms (i.e. without too much technical detail) what the difference is between Sonos 3 and 5 and for what purpose which box would be recommended? Merci very much :)
I want to buy a Sonos system (Playbar, Sub, 2x Play:5, 4x Play:1) but I'm not in a hurry. Do Sonos typically have promotions that are worth waiting for?
And is it already foreseeable whether the Playbar will also be upgraded with HDMI ARC? The Beam's functionality is really "nice", but the Playbar seems to be on a different level sound-wise.

Hello
I am planning to order the Acer 550 beamer (4k) from you. However, I am now faced with the challenge of connecting the whole thing to my Sonos system. Basically, I want to control two One (2nd gen.). What is needed for this? I use Apple TV, so AirPlay support is important. I also want to keep the option open to expand the whole thing to 5.1. I would also like to control the additional device (Beam?) preferably via the Beamer FB and not have to use the app every time.
What else do I need to have in addition to the beamer so that the above requirements are met? Requirements are fulfilled?
Many thanks in advance for your answer.
I'm moving into a new flat shortly and would like to set up a Multiroom setup.
Basics: LG OLED65C7V TV, AppleTV 4K, PlayStation Pro, Switch
Desire: Bedroom and kitchen each with SONOS One SL, living room with either SONOS Beam or SONOS Playbase (option to expand with 2 SONOS One SL for surround sound).
Question 1: I would like to control the devices via Airplay 2. Because of my LG OLED65C7V television, I am leaning towards the Playbase, as the Beam would protrude into the picture of the television. The Playbase doesn't have Airplay 2, but I've read that it can be grouped with a One SL and thus also become Airplay 2 capable. Can anyone confirm this for me?
Question 2: Since the Playbase doesn't have an HDMI connection, the box has to be connected via the optical input. Does this have any relevant disadvantages?
Question 3: Can I listen to music with the Playbase without having the TV on?
Question 4: Does anyone know how often SONOS launches new products? Am I buying a device that is already too old with the Playbase?
Thanks for your help.
Hello all,
I currently have a Teufel surround system which I would like to change because of the floorstanding speakers, since I know that Sonos is top and can probably keep up with high-end speakers, I would like to get Sonos little by little. Now the big question for you is what should I start with and what do I need to get a decent surround sound (mainly games and movies, music less so)?
At the moment I don't have any surround (rear, back) speakers so I guess these should come first or is the bar enough to get some surround already? unfortunately I don't know Sonos (yet).
Please for your help and recommendations thank you in advance
