Experiences with Digitec (poorly packaged delivery)

Today I received 3 pieces of Nvme memory for servers from Digitec, which were only sent in a C5 envelope (paper, unpadded). Has anyone else had the experience that Digitec does not pack SSD, Ram, Nvme and other expensive goods correctly? I have never experienced this with Brack and Amazon. Even from China, the chips are always correctly padded.

Differences All-in-one HP OmniStudio 27 inch?

Hi everyone, as a replacement for my iMac M1, which has been making fan noise for 3 months, I've come to the HP OmniStudio. I see four models here (1859 CHF, 1588 CHF, 1939 CHF and 1523 CHF), which all look practically the same in terms of technical data. Where can the differences be? In addition, a few data seem to be incorrect, such as: no USB-C on one and 32GB SSD on another. Does anyone know if they are silent? Thank you very much!

Product details for many products (20,000 RAM) & other jokes

Hello dear Galaxus team It would be very useful if you could check the product information for products, because many sellers do not have the correct information. There are computers with 20'000 RAM or 1000000 Terrabyte, which makes the filter function almost useless. Best regards A loyal customer

    Payment by instalments

I would be interested in a new payment option with which you can also pay in instalments, there are many different possibilities. I personally like the solution of InterDiscount and MediaMarkt, they use a "PayCard" that works similar to a credit card, just with less interest. What is the situation here at Digitec, is something like this planned or could we talk about it?

    Gaming PC

I need a new gaming PC. At least i9, 32 GB memory, a very good graphics card. Another criterion is the noise level. I love whisper-quiet PCs. And then I should be able to play all games without having to worry about stuttering. Price: 3000-3500.

    Favourable gaming PC

I'm looking for an inexpensive gaming PC to put together myself up to a maximum of 800, preferably expandable so that I can upgrade the components later. I only need to run relatively low-performance games such as Factorio, Satisfactori and similar. If anyone has a tip or even a component suggestion, I would be very grateful.

I have just persuaded my parents to buy a pc for my sister that i can assemble later for her birthday. i have found all the components here. this is my second pc i am building but i am building an AMD pc that means with amd cpu and gpu to save money. Here is the list https://www.digitec.ch/de... My question to the Community. I know nothing about AMD but I know that they are much better in terms of price and performance. Is this pc stable and are the components compatible and do i have the best cpu/gpu in this price range? Rgb doesn't matter it has to be clean. What about the motherboard it says windows 10 but not 11 (which is rubbish anyway) next year windows 10 will no longer be supported unless the EU saves us again. It would be good if it was compatible. In terms of gaming, she only really plays minecraft, but it would be nice if the render distance went far enough for her, i.e. 16-20 chunks. She also plays red dead on the xbox so far, but maybe she'll switch. she'll probably be at 2.5K with a monitor. Have I done it right with the power from the power supply? The components don't even draw that much power... Thank you in advance for your support and have a nice weekend.
Hello community, I'm putting out an alert and I'd like to know if I'm the only one shocked by the quality of PCs from the Captiva and Avlano brands, which dominate Digitec. A few figures to start with: these two brands account for 5,170 references, or more than 84% of the "PC Gaming" range! But what's even more absurd is that less than 0.5% of this massive catalogue is actually in stock for next-day delivery. The real problem is that almost all of these machines, analysed at random, suffer from serious technical aberrations, designed to fool the unwary buyer. The pattern is always the same: The RAM is systematically sabotaged: Very often we find a single-channel configuration, which halves the bandwidth and causes a performance loss of 15 to 25% in games. A 2479 CHF PC (Captiva R89-085) sold with "1 x 64GB DDR5 5200MHz" is a technical heresy. The components are "No-Name": unbranded and uncertified power supplies (PSUs) and SSDs are installed, even on machines costing almost CHF 4,000 (Captiva R90-729). It's like playing Russian roulette with expensive hardware. Stability and security are sacrificed. Platforms are often obsolete: In 2025, PCs costing over CHF 1,000 (Captiva R88-503) are being sold on a 2017 AM4 platform, with no possibility of upgrading. My question is addressed directly to Digitec: how can your in-house expertise allow machines that are the antithesis of all good PC assembly practice to go by? It's a paradox that seriously damages your credibility. My approach is not to accuse, but to alert. So I ask you: am I the only one shocked by this situation? Is it normal for a reference brand to allow its catalogue to be dominated by thousands of phantom and technically dubious configurations? The debate is open. To end on a constructive note, there is one obvious solution: Digitec should launch its own range of 'Digitec Certified' PCs. 5 to 10 configurations, not 5000. Machines designed by your experts, totally transparent, that the community would be proud to recommend. It would be a real vote of confidence.
Since the filter does not appear to me at all: a) is there any M4 Pro model with 10GbE available via Digitec/Galaxus? b) is it possible to activate other categories in the filter, such as network connection? This is included in the respective product details... why is the information not even correct for Apple products? It should be trivial to get the information - and the paragraph accordingly :/ Specifically: Network Ethernet controller: Gigabit Ethernet Max. port speed i: 10000 Mbit/s Product number: 52875883 https://www.galaxus.ch/en/s1/product/apple-mac-mini-2024-final-cut-pro-m4-16-gb-256-gb-apple-m4-10-core-pc-52875883
Hello everyone, maybe someone from the Community knows some good advice. After a power cut, my PC has extreme trouble booting and when it does boot, it takes as many hours to display the icons on the desktop as it took to boot and is extremely slow. I have already tried various things: CMOS battery removed for more than 10 minutes. Updated BIOS to the latest version. Tried to boot via USB stick. (Changed boot sequence in BIOS). Searched for hours with ChatGPT for solutions. Nothing helped. I have noticed that the mainboard displays the Q code AA. Various forums state that this code represents a normally functioning system. Have any of you had similar experiences or can you help me? Unfortunately, I don't have any spare parts that I can use to replace the components. Kind regards Max
Hello everyone, I would like to upgrade my PC as the current one is already older and no longer supports Win 11. I have a good SSD in it which I will keep as well as the case. Therefore, I would only replace the mainboard, CPU, RAM and possibly the graphics card and, depending on the power requirements, the power supply unit. I have currently compiled the list at https://www.digitec.ch/de.... What do you think? It's a family PC, so it will be used for office work and the kids are getting older and will probably want to do some gaming. I want to upgrade the PC specifically so that the kids can learn something. But I would also like to have peace of mind and not have to replace something every 2-3 years. Thank you very much.
I would like to make my work computer gaming-capable and therefore want to replace it. As I work at a small standing desk, I want a small case. Is the setup suitable for a mini gaming PC? Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™ i7 20-core processor i7-14700 (up to 5.4GHz) 33 MB cache Mainboard ASUS® ROG STRIX Z790-I GAMING WIFI (Mini-ITX, LGA1700, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 6E) Memory 64 GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz CL40 (2 x 32GB) Graphics card 16 GB ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 4060 Ti TWIN EDGE - HDMI, 3 x DP 1st M.2 SSD drive 1 TB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000 MB/sR, 6500 MB/sW) 2nd M.2 SSD drive 2 TB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000 MB/sR, 6500 MB/sW) Power supply unit CORSAIR 650 W RM SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA-QUIET 1000 thanks for an assessment.
Hello together I'm beginning to realise that I can no longer keep up with certain games on my PC (possibly just my graphics card). I have the ASUS ROG Strix GL12CM-CH003T pre-built. The specifications for this PC are listed here: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asus-rog-strix-gl12cm-ch003t-intel-core-i7-8700-16-gb-256-gb-geforce-gtx-1070-pc-8763103. Since I have no idea about PCs, but don't want to go back to my console, I need your help. :) I play: - Shooters like Apex Legends, COD, Marvel Rivals - OpenWorld Survival games like Rust (currently on "Potato" setting, shadows etc. all off) - Life simulation games like Sims, inZOI (the latter is yet to be released, but according to Spezi. I have no chance here with my build) I have no idea what would be reasonable in terms of price. I don't really want to spend more than CHF 3000. Many thanks for your help.
Hello everyone, I'm spoilt for choice and have no idea which monitor to buy. It will mainly be used for gaming (FPS games) and only rarely for office work. A Radeon RX 7900XTX is installed in the PC. My favourite would be the Alienware, as I like the slight curvature and I think the value for money is fine. However, after several YouTube reviews, I found out that the Aorus is the only monitor that supports DisplayPort 2.1. In combination with the 7900XTX, which also supports this technology, would this perhaps be the most future-proof choice? What do you think? Does anyone have any experience or tips?
