Uncommunicated discount limits, dynamic price adjustments & product exclusions - experiences?
Hello everyone, I have noticed several times at Digitec in connection with discount campaigns that certain restrictions and processes are not communicated transparently. Specifically: - Limitations were applied to discount codes (e.g. CANON-13) without these being clearly visible anywhere (e.g. maximum number of redemptions per customer). - In addition, it was not communicated that the promotion only applied to certain products or lenses. The presentation generally stated "13% on Canon lenses", restrictions were only explained later after I had explicitly asked. - These subsequent explanations seemed more contrived than transparent to me. I also received written confirmation from customer service that prices can be dynamically adjusted during an ongoing purchase process. In my specific case, this meant that I was shown different prices for the same item within a few minutes. I would be interested to know: - Has anyone had similar experiences with discount limits not being communicated? - Were you also shown price changes during or shortly after a purchase? - Did you notice that exclusions of individual products were only explained afterwards?
