It started in India. The cashews tasted so good that the idea of the cashew trade grew out of the pleasure. And today the idea is the basis of a public limited company based in Zurich. The idea has grown organically, like the nuts themselves. The company was founded on 3 June 2006 by Ueli Baruffol and Balz Strasser. "The beginning was very private." remember the two founders. Pakka was literally a family business. The living room table at home was converted into a production line, and the first bags of precious cores were packed and delivered with the support of the whole family.
