Frage zu i-tec USB 3.0 / USB-C Dual 4K Dock
Guten Tag Ich besitze einen Acer Nitro 5 Notebook. Er besitzt eine NVidia GTX1060 Grafikkarte. Nun wollte ich einen externen Monitor über Displayport anschliessen, musste aber feststellen, dass mein Notebook kein Displayport anschluss hat. Dann habe ich gelesen, dass dies auch über USB C gehen sollte, wenn dort das Blitzsymbol vorhanden ist. Leider ist auch das Blitzsymbol nicht vorhanden. Nun meine Frage: Ist es mit dieser Dockingstation möglich den Monitor via Dispayport ab der Dokingstation anzusteueren und die Dockingstation mit dem Laptop über USB C. Bringe ich danach bei 2k die 165Hz und läuft auch der G Sync der Nvidia Grafikkarte? Freundliche Grüsse Mike Schielke

Diese Dockingstation funktioniert mit Ihrem Laptop - es gibt jedoch Einschränkungen. Diese Dockingstation verwendet die DisplayLink-Technologie (diese Dockingstationen sind nur Dockingstationen, die mit Ihrem Laptop kompatibel sind), und DisplayLink kann keine höhere Auflösung als 60 Hz bereitstellen.
Außerdem funktioniert G-Sync nicht. Damit G-Sync funktioniert, muss die GPU direkt mit einem Monitor kommunizieren. Aufgrund der Funktionsweise der DisplayLink-Technologie ist dies jedoch nicht möglich.
Außerdem sind DisplayLink-Dockingstationen hauptsächlich für Büroarbeiten gedacht. Es ist sicherlich möglich, sie für Spiele zu verwenden, aber nur mit (randlosem) Fenstermodus und einer geringeren Anzahl von FPS (dies hängt von vielen Faktoren ab) - dies wird jedoch nicht unterstützt.

This docking station would work with your laptop - but there are limitations. This docking station uses DisplayLink technology (these docking stations are only docking stations that are compatible with your laptop) and DisplayLink is not able to provide higher resolution then 60Hz.
Also, G-Sync will not work - in order for G-Sync to work GPU needs to communicate directly with a monitor. But because of how DisplayLink technology work that is not possible.
Also, DisplayLink docking stations are mostly for office work, it is certainly possible to use them for games, but only with (borderless) windows mode and number of FPS would be lower (here depends on many factors) - but this is not supported.
