It simply works.
I live on the 3rd floor of a house with neighbours below me on different circuits obviously. I wanted internet in my basement room. Despite having to traverse a breaker, it worked fine i'm satisfied with the speed . (A common myth is that a powerline adaptor won't work across an electrical breaker - this is not true, it's just not ideal).
With my gigabit internet 3 floors above (125MB/s) and with my powerline going across a breaker i get 10MB down/up (5ms ping) in basement which is perfectly good enough for my needs. Powerline adaptors are never ideal, especially across circuits so i'm still very very pleased. I hooked up the powerline adaptor to an old router and have Wifi now in my basement as well.
