Can you please tell us in which case scenario our power adapter is whistling? Just when connected to a wall socket but not to a laptop/docking station? Or when it's connected both to the wall socket and laptop/docking station? Any other details would be appreciated.

Hi i-tec,

thanks for reaching out. It was connected to a Icy Box IB-DK2106-C docking station. As soon as I connected some load e.g. an external HDD to a USB port of the dock, or my laptop (Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 15IMH05), the power supply swept through a cacophony of various frequencies, depending on the applied load. At full capacity, it was most silent. When it was idling (e.g. when I disconnected the laptop and it was only connected to the dock), the whistling was most prominent.

Thanks for the offered support. Not needed. I returned the product and bought one from a competitor. Works fine now. mehr
