As a Relevance Engineer at Digitec Galaxus, you work in a cross-functional Scrum team responsible for ranking products on all our websites and apps. In the Team Nautilus, we independently design our roadmap and set ambitious goals for ourselves.

We research, measure, test, automate, release, tackle innovative projects together, and celebrate our successes as a team. Your work helps over 4 million customers across Europe to quickly access the information they need to make purchasing decisions.

Tâches

  • In Team Nautilus, you pursue the mission to make search "relevant, fast & joyful."
  • Relevant: In collaboration with data analysts and other engineers, you are responsible for continuously improving the ranking of search results.
  • Fast: You are responsible for ensuring that the search operates quickly and stably, and you constantly optimize the foundation. This includes managing the Elastic cluster on Azure and automating release processes.
  • You are up-to-date and eager to engage with current trends in software development, open to new ideas, and proactively advance your projects.
  • In the department, you have the opportunity to take responsibility when you identify potential and also help other teams to bring out their best.

Exigences

  • Solid background in Search Relevance and at least 3 years of practical experience in software development.
  • High level of quality awareness (Clean Code, testing, etc.).
  • Ideally, you already have experience with our tech stack: We rely on ElasticSearch, Azure, .NET (C#).
  • Solution-oriented mindset ("can-do" attitude).
  • Interest in independently learning new things and bringing this knowledge back to your team.
  • As a cooperative team player, you communicate openly, transparently, and understandably. You are open to constructive feedback.
  • Very good English skills are necessary, German skills are a plus.
