Can the following three things work at the same time? - Charging the iPad - Reading from SD cards - Writing to an external SSD (without going through the iPad) I would like to do the following, and this does not seem to work with the Satechi: Read images from the SD card and write directly to an external SSD with an iPad. However, the iPad does not recognise the external SSD when I try to connect it via the hub. Only if you connect the SSD directly to the iPad is it recognised. Thank you! 🙂

Helpful answer

Although the D-Link DUB-2325 Hub supports SD cards and USB devices, it does not offer a charging function (no Power Delivery). It is therefore not possible to charge the iPad, read images from an SD card and write to an external SSD at the same time. For your project, you need a hub with USB-C Power Delivery and sufficient power supply for SSD and SD card at the same time.
