Equipment abandoned by Gigaset has a chance of a second life.
Good news: in IGen magazine, it is described that there is a possibility to revive Gigaset Elements: https://www.igen.fr/domotique... A group of developers of the original system shared the information that before the servers were deactivated, an alternative software for Gigaset Elements had been created. This does not require the German company's servers and supports MQTT. As a result, there was no need for the company to abandon its customers and send expensive hardware to the scrap heap. It was just an insensitive decision by the company. They write that they are fighting the company to take care of the abandoned customers and make the new software available as open source (direct link: https://gstory.prv.pl/fra). In my opinion, this is a great initiative. I hope my Elements kit comes back to life :)
