The original facial interface is basically a thin piece of foam stuck with double sided tape to the plastic mask. It has a very cheap feel to it and can’t be removed to be machine washed. Only solutions are to buy a new one from oculus (at a ridiculous price) when it gets too worn or dirty, or buy a third party cover that’s washable and easily replaced.
Otherwise setup, ease of use, and performance felt perfect for me. I can’t notice the screen door effect like on older headsets. Real shame about the facial interface because otherwise at this price range it would have been a perfect product for me.
