Danke für die Ausstattungsangaben. Habe mir mit der Zotac eine pfSense Firewall erfolgreich einrichten können. Crucial CT16G48C40S5, Transcend 400S 256 GB M.2 2242 .
Thanks for the detailed setup. Have you experienced a high pitched coil whine with your unit?
No I have not experienced a high pitched coil whine. I have two identical Zotacs runngin pfSense, and swap them regularly. Neither has this high pitched coil whine issue. One issue I do have is, using pfSense 2.7.2-RELEASE (amd64) on the Zotac, that all of a sudden the network connection drops. The pfSense seems to crash. In these cases I turn off the power, power on the Zotac again, and after 30 seconds everything is fine again. pfSense does have a crash log, but I have as yet not reported this issue and hope that a new version of pfSense resolves the issue. Does not happen that often though. No idea if this is a hardware or software issue. The Zotac does get warm.
@onlinetravel: Thanks, maybe I have a faulty unit.
@onlinetravel: my machine is absolutely quiet even under load - it gets warm, but not hot - that's OK...
When evaluating the system I saw posts from users where complaining about strange sounds => probably a damaged/faulty component...
