My favorite ergonomic keyboard on the market

I have been using the MSFT Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard at work. After a few years of intensive use, the "G" key started to work erratically, so I just got a new one.

What a difference ! I had not realized how mushy the keys had become, and now enjoy a big productivity boost as the keys jump back up much faster and have a much better feel. (that is to say, a good keyboard really is important for your productivity).

I also enjoy not having an integrated numeric keypad. Why? Because the mouse is much closer to the center of the keyboard, meaning that your right hand (and arm, and shoulder) move much less to grab it. Again another productivity boost. It makes the whole computer experience easier. Once you try it you just can't get back to those super-wide keyboards.

About ergonomics. The angled keys are such that your arms and hands remain straight when typing. It reduces the effort and friction on your wrist bones and tendons, reduces pain if you already experienced it as I did, and the likelihood of future pain if you did not. Takes some getting used to at first, but well worth the effort.

Now the not-so-good things about this keyboard. When holding the SHIFT key down to capitalize a word, the SHIFT key contact is sometimes lost, ending up in this SITUaTION. For some reason it mostly happens with the letter "c"... I observed the same problem on both keyboards (!), even though it was more frequent in the old one (right from the start).

So why did I order the Microsoft keyboard anyway? Well, that's IMHO one of the best ergonomic keyboard on the market:
* Logitec no longer make one AFAIK (that was by far my favorite, still use one at home).
* I tried the Fujitsu, but that one is very noisy (early 1990's style), and too thick, forcing you to have your hands way above the table. No longer use it.
* Other specialty brand exist though, you might want to check them out as well (but they tend to be $$$ and/or have really exotic design).
