I have swapped the card for a new. The same version of the card and it works without any problem so far. So it is safe to say it was a faulty card. Have to wait a week or two for diagnostic from digitec to confirm.
Yes I have checked the connection on to the PCIe and it sits solid. I have tested it on 2 separate PCs, First PC has 650W the other 550W power supply. They are both relatively new Computers. And the old GTX 960 GPU works on both without a problem. I went back to Digitec and swapped the card, I should go pick it up soon. I hope the new one will work or else I don't know what could cause this sort of problem. (maybe OC is throwing it off, makeing it unstable)
I had once a similar issue. The root cause was finally the mainboard which had some defects on the temperatur sensors which also affected the temperature monitoring from the card over PCI-E. 650W PS should be enough, you can also monitoring the voltage of your system. higher current = lower voltage, also on switched PS if they are on the limit ;)
