Ultrabooks with quad-core i7 processors ?

I'm not a fan of Apple, but I do love my 3-year-old 15" MacBook Pro with its Quad-Core i7 processor.
It's not too heavy (less than 2kg), has a retina display, great keyboard and is fast as hell.

Is there an equivalent Windows laptop/ultrabook ?
They all seem to have dual-core (rather than quad-core) i7 processors.

Well, i'd go with the latest kaybe lake generation. There are not that many options available yet but have a look at the new asus zenbook pro: ASUS ZenBook Pro UX550VD-BN081T (15.6", Full HD, Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 16GB, SSD)

or the dell xps 15 2017: Dell XPS 15 (15.6", UHD, Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 16GB, SSD)

Most of those are also available in smaller form factors.

You could also check the Top 10 Lists on notebookcheck.net for example: https://www.notebookcheck.com/Top-10-Ultrabooks-im-Test-bei-Notebookcheck.125873.0.html

Well, in the end, I opted for an ASUS VivoBook S15 S510UR-BQ068T from Digitec. It's only a dual-core i7, but the opportunity to have an ultrabook with a 15.6" screen and (somehow) both an SSD and HDD, at less than 950 CHF, was too much to dismiss !! Oh, and guys, your photo of it's keyboard is wrong. The Asus VivoBook actually had a double-height Enter key (the photo shows it with a nasty "single-height" Enter key)

Yes, I looked at the Surface books, laughed at their prices, then went back to looking at regular ultrabooks...
Sorry, but this whole "laptop, which is also a tablet" thing just does nothing for me.

Btw, the Asus Vivobook, with it's 15.6" Full HD screen, yet still in an ultrabook form, is lovely.
Except for it's keyboard, which is squishier than my beer belly.

I love the LG Gram (sadly not available on digitec.ch)
But there are also the Microsoft Surface Lineup and the Dell XPSs.
Also great is the Razer Blade Stealth
