Can anyone tell me if you can remove one leg of this tripod and use it separately?

No, you can't and it doesn't make sense with such a small tripod. By the way, the centre column is not retractable and is always there. For me, this is a faulty design.

Hello, what exactly is the difference to the MT5-C? Can anyone help me here? Unfortunately, the manufacturer's website doesn't help either. A product comparison would be very helpful. For me, it has to be as small and light as possible for mountaineering.

my guess is that there is no difference. The model was simply rebranded to have a better name. Even on Amazon, where the manufacturer usually answers within a short time, he is silent on the subject.
