The ram says DDR4-3200, but is this ram still compatible with an ASUS STRIX X99 GAMING mainboard?

Quite possibly, according to the specifications. However, I cannot give you an exact statement because these specific RAM modules are not listed in the QVL list for RAM of the motherboard. (The manufacturer cannot test every product and guarantee 100% compatibility).
