Dear Community
I intend to replace the conventional HD in my HP ProBook 4540s with this SSD and use the laptop for a few more years. Specifications of the old HD: ATA-8, SATA 2.6, 3.0 Gb/s, NCQ.
As far as I know, this should be possible, simply I can only use the speed of SATA II. But since I'm a technical layman: Are there any incompatibilities or anything else from a technical point of view that speaks against the purchase?
Thank you very much for all your answers!
It will fit as far as it goes. But you should rather set up the PC completely new with the ssd and not just clone it. This will then result in a reasonable speed
