Question about HP Smart Tank 7005

I haven't had the printer for a year yet. Haven't printed 100 pages. Made sure that nothing dried out. Yet both printer heads are defective. I actually preferred to buy it at a higher price to have fewer expenses - and now this! Is this normal?
