I am not a professional in this matter, but I assembled my PC with this mainboard. The problem was exactly what you are asking. The BIOS version is not compatible with the 13th gen. I had to buy another CPU (Intel Core i5-12600K (12th gen)) to upgrade the BIOS version. After that it worked.
I contacted ASUS. They first said the CPU wouldn't work (I have the Intel Core i5-13600K) which is complete nonsense. During a second conversation, they offered me that I could send in the mainboard and they would lift the BIOS for me.
End of story: the BIOS is not compatible with the 13th gen, you have to lift it with a 12th gen first to use the 13th gen. (Unless something has been changed since a year ago) Exact BIOS version, which is on it by default, I don't know, sorry.
