Question about WD Gold

...Digitec Galaxus already gives a 5-year guarantee, but only with an extra charge, see "Guarantee services". Which is nothing but a rip-off when the manufacturer gives a 5-year guarantee anyway! That's a bottomless impertinence from Digitec Galaxus.

I'm not from Digitec, but I had exactly the same problem with a docking station and was told that the two years were covered by Digitec and that I could go directly to the manufacturer for the third year. If this becomes the rule for warranty period differences, it is probably better to buy from a dealer who is the contact for problems during the entire warranty period.
