Question about Philips Hue Wandschalter Modul

Can anyone tell me what the legal situation is with these modules? As far as I know, a "layman" (without training as an electrician) is not allowed to change anything in the circuit. Now various manufacturers offer modules like this one from Philips. What I'm wondering is: Can anyone help me if I install it myself? Assuming that the cross-section, feed-through etc. are correct. The whole thing is not really complicated.

Hello Zalachenko
You must have misunderstood the purpose of the modules (as I did). The modules are only there to integrate existing light switches and buttons into the hue network. You cannot switch with them.
Since the modules therefore only have to be connected to a potential-free contact and not to mains voltage, this also has nothing to do with the legal requirements.

To switch existing lamps (e.g. built-in LED spots), you still have to use another product. There, the legal situation is that even as a layperson you are allowed to carry out installations yourself on single-phase lamp and socket circuits, provided that an appropriate RCD and LS are available.

Kind regards

Hello florianp94

Thank you for your answer. It has helped me a lot. I still have one additional question:
You write:
The legal situation there is that even as a layperson you are allowed to carry out installations yourself on single-phase lamp and socket circuits, as long as a suitable RCD and LS are available.

I now know that I don't have a residual current device but only an old one with a circuit breaker. Could it be reworded so that as long as the circuit complies with the current standard (every 10 years the circuit must be checked and replaced if necessary or something) you may carry out installations on single-phase lamp and socket circuits yourself?

I have been asking myself this question for some time.

Greetings :)
