Question about Apple Lightning – USB A

As I am a dealer myself and sell a lot of Lightning cables and know the prices of original Apple cables, I know from the price (CHF 8.90 for a 2 metre cable) that this cable is not from Apple. See also the reviews of the customers who bought the cable - enough write that it is fake. My question now is: How is it that you, dear Digitec team, even though you should know from the price alone that it can't be original Apple, advertise it to your customers as original? Wouldn't it be more correct to simply advertise it as a cable from a third-party manufacturer? (CHF 8.90 for a 2-metre original Apple cable is absurdly implausible. Maybe you should take one apart and compare the components built into the connector with an original Apple one) ;)

Unfortunately, I cannot answer this question because I am not a Digitec but a customer. However, I myself have also bought such cables from Apple in Asia, which were also in this price range.

By the way, Apple sells the original 2-metre cable for CHF 35.00 - so it is completely absurd to think that a cable for CHF 8.90 could be original. That is 75% below the official Apple price. If you take away the margin of you and the dealer, this would mean that you can buy original Apple cables for 10% of the official price. Not even stolen goods would sell that cheap. Probably more of your alleged "original Apple" cables are also fake - from third party manufacturers and not from Apple.

I really like you Digitec. But as a customer I would like to be able to rely on the fact that when you say a product is original and from the official manufacturer - that this is also true.
