5. Purecrea 22mm push-button with RGB illumination 5V - stainless steel
This 22 mm momentary button features a backlit RGB LED ring that can be controlled in various colors via an Arduino or other microcontroller. On the back, there are four gold contacts for the switch (normally open and normally closed) and four silver contacts, which are used once for the cathode and three times for the anode of the red, green, and blue LEDs. The illuminated RGB button already has the current limiting resistors integrated internally. This allows you to connect the LED lighting directly to your microcontroller without an additional resistor. The resistors for the lighting are designed for 5 V, but you can also operate them at 3.3 V. If you want to use a higher voltage, such as 12 V DC or 24 V DC, you simply need to add a 1 kOhm resistor in series with the LED cathode to keep the LED current at about 20 mA.
You can best control the LED using three PWM outputs on the microcontroller, allowing you to set your button to any color.
