Zeiss Milvus 2.0 / 135mm ZF.2 Nikon F

Enjoy the atmospheric dusk against a dreamlike backdrop - as an unobtrusive observer, the telephoto lens makes it possible to experience this unique moment from a distance. Detached from the background, the ZEISS Milvus 2/135 enables an incomparable interplay of foreground and background.
Versatile in a wide variety of situations, this telephoto lens can also be used to capture the emotions of an artist from the third series on stage or to capture breathtaking portraits in detail. Due to the fixed position of the focusing ring, the lens is also ideal for video applications with a follow focus system.

Outstanding image results even in difficult lighting situations:
All lenses are coated with ZEISS T*® Anti-Reflective Coating. Optimised scattered light reduction is achieved by combining finely coordinated measures. In addition to the ZEISS T* coating, all lens edges are finished by hand with a special deep black lacquer. Light traps in mechanical components and specially calculated surfaces are integrated to prevent reflections. Each focal length is characterized by an individual optical construction with partial use of special glass types with anomalous partial dispersion. This minimizes the tendency to color fringing on high-contrast edges.

Future-proof for high-resolution camera systems:
Due to their high imaging performance, ZEISS Milvus lenses are especially designed to meet the requirements of current and future high-performance digital cameras. High-contrast images are possible even with increasing dynamic ranges of the sensors (HDR) due to the low stray light level in the lens. The minimization of imaging errors such as coma, astigmatism and spherical aberrations enables a consistently high resolution across the entire image field. Optics has the potential to get the most out of high-resolution systems. No matter what the future brings - with the Milvus lenses from ZEISS you are optimally equipped.

Creative photography and videography through precise, manual focusing:
Operating a lens manually means controlling the image result gently and precisely from the fingertips and thus shaping it consciously. Ergonomics is everything. The ZEISS Milvus lenses convince with a large angle of rotation, which enables perfect focusing to the point. The high-quality focusing mechanism is smooth-running and without play: This supports the creative play with the focal plane of bright fixed focal lengths. Changes are immediately visible in the viewfinder or display. The engraving in meters and feet as well as the depth of field scale offer additional assistance for manual focusing. The stepless and noiseless aperture adjustment (De-Click function with ZF.2 Mount) enables the best conditions for videography in addition to the long focus range for these photo lenses.

Durable product with protection against environmental influences:
Optimized ergonomics ensure optimum handling, making photography fatigue-free and reducing the risk of camera shake. The all-metal housing turns every grip into a haptic experience. The dynamic, precise body design sets new standards in the world of photo lenses. But the ZEISS Milvus lenses not only impress with their outstanding housing optics and haptics, but also with their inner values. Special seals to protect against dust and splash water expand the creative possibilities in various recording areas - this guarantees reliable function even under difficult conditions.

Lens mount

Lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.

Telephoto lens

Telephoto lens

In photography and cinematography, a telephoto lens is a specific type of a long-focus lens in which the physical length of the lens is shorter than the focal length. This is achieved by incorporating a special lens group known as a telephoto group that extends the light path to create a long-focus lens in a much shorter overall design. The angle of view and other effects of long-focus lenses are the same for telephoto lenses of the same specified focal length. Long-focal-length lenses are often informally referred to as telephoto lenses although this is technically incorrect: a telephoto lens specifically incorporates the telephoto group.
