Product details
The successor to the successful Ultimaker 2 is one of the most advanced, accurate and reliable desktop 3D printers. With the printer you can produce objects up to 223 mm x 223 mm x 305 mm with the high
quality features you have come to expect from Ultimaker 2. The printer with its modern and elegant housing design and integrated display prints with a maximum layer resolution of 0.02 mm and a maximum printing speed of up to 300 mm/sec. With the open source software Cura and the heated printing bed, the printer is suitable for PLA and ABS filaments with a diameter of 2.85 mm. Due to the possibility of changing the pressure nozzles, you are flexible and can either print the finest details or increase the speed of printing. And one thing remains the same with all Ultimaker printers: Every Ultimaker is handmade and tested. This ensures consistently high precision and quality.
Intelligent operation
Ultimaker 2 Extended+ is easy to use thanks to its intuitive clickwheel, easy-to-read display and built-in SD card reader. With the integrated card reader you can read the modeled 3D object files directly from an SD card and start printing directly on the device. The display also shows them all status-relevant information during 3D printing.
The printing process
The Ultimaker 2 Extended+ uses the popular and most cost-effective FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printing process. It is used to melt mainly plastic-based materials and process them into 3D objects in a layered process.
Resolution and speed
Up to four different layer resolutions can be selected (Low 0.2 mm, Medium 0.1 mm, High 0.06 mm and Ultra High 0.02 mm). Printing speeds range from 30 mm/s to 300 mm/s. The double cooling on the extruder allows precise and fast 3D printing.
3D software
With the powerful and free open source software Cura, all common 3D formats such as STL/OBJ/DAE/AMF can be used without any problems. This makes you more flexible when choosing the software used to create the 3D models.
outlets
In addition to the classic USB connection, the device also has an SD card reader for computer-independent 3D printing.
shipment
The device is delivered securely packed and completely assembled with built-in display, SD card reader and single extruder. Before delivery, the manufacturer prints and tests the entire electronics. The open source software Cura can be downloaded for free from the Ultimaker homepage.
