Sapphire NITRO Radeon RX 470

The SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 470 is the next big thing in 1080p mainstream gaming. Custom SAPPHIRE NITRO+ models come with an energy-efficient Polaris chip base and a range of additional features related to cooling and aesthetics, which are already found in the NITRO+ RX 480 model. Compared to the previous GPU generation R9 270, gaming on the RX 470 means up to 2.4 times better performance in the latest titles like Total War: WARHAMMER or DOOM. The 4th generation Graphics Core Next chip was designed with energy savings in mind while maintaining the typical board power of around 170 W. Polaris-based graphics processors also mean an improved geometry engine, a larger cache, and native asynchronous shaders for unmatched efficiency in DirectX 12.

All SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 470 cards are equipped with 2048 GCN-based stream processors and a 256-bit memory interface. The 8 GB model has a GPU boost clock of 1260 MHz (1121 MHz base) and memory clocked at 2000 MHz for a throughput of 8 Gbps.
