Description

Experience impressive innovation from a leading provider of NVMe SSDs: Samsung's 970 PRO makes intensive workloads on PCs or workstations a breeze. Once again Samsung offers what enthusiasts and professionals want. This is made possible by the most innovative V-NAND memory technology and the brand new Phoenix controller in the compact M.2 form factor (2280).

Impressive performance
Thanks to its high performance, you can determine what you want to do with your system at any time. The 970 PRO combines a Gen3 PCIe interface and 4 lanes with the most innovative V-NAND memory technology and the brand new Phoenix controller from Samsung. Up to 3,500 MB/s* read throughput and up to 2,700 MB/s* when writing are possible - about 30% better values than with the previous model.

Soothing service life
Samsung is known for consistently high performance and the consistent use of the most modern V-NAND memory technology. The 970 PRO is also specified for a minimum total write data volume of up to 1,200 TB TBW*, ** with a five-year manufacturer's warranty***. This means that the new top model offers 50% longer service life than its predecessor.

Absolute reliability
You have to earn your trust. The new Samsung controller is nickel-plated and the drive module of the 970 PRO is equipped with a heat spreader, so that the operating waste heat is effectively dissipated. In addition, the Dynamic Thermal Guard function constantly monitors the drive to maintain optimum operating temperatures while maintaining performance.

Samsung Magician
This makes drive management a breeze. Samsung Magician software helps you keep an eye on your SSD. The user-friendly software solution keeps the drive up to date with updates, monitors status parameters and optimizes performance for you.

Notebook

A laptop, also called a notebook, is a personal computer for mobile use. A laptop integrates most of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard, a pointing device (a touchpad, also known as a trackpad, and/or a pointing stick) and speakers into a single unit. A laptop is powered by mains electricity via an AC adapter, and can be used away from an outlet using a rechargeable battery.

Read transfer speed

The read rate determines how fast the data on the storage medium can be read or transferred by a computer.

Write transfer speed
i

Write transfer speed

Data transfer rate or just transfer rate is the average number of bits, characters, or blocks per unit time passing between equipment in a data transmission system.
Transfer rates can serve several functions. The response time can help a network administrator pinpoint where slowdowns and potential hangups exist in a network. By analyzing data transfer rates and adjusting accordingly as a preventative measure, a system can be made more efficient and will be more prepared to handle extra bandwidth constraints in times of heavy usage.
Testing mechanisms such as fiber optic loopbacks can assist in measuring and conducting data transfer tests.

TRIM Support

TRIM Support

In computing, a TRIM command allows an operating system to inform a solid-state drive (SSD) which blocks of data are no longer considered in use and can be wiped internally. While TRIM is frequently spelled in capital letters, it is not an acronym; it is merely a command name.
TRIM was introduced soon after SSDs started to become an affordable alternative to traditional hard disks. Because low-level operation of SSDs differs significantly from traditional hard disks, the typical way in which operating systems handle operations like deletes and formats (not explicitly communicating the involved sectors/pages to the underlying storage medium) resulted in unanticipated progressive performance degradation of write operations on SSDs. TRIM enables the SSD to handle garbage collection overhead, that would otherwise significantly slow down future write operations to the involved blocks, in advance.

Power consumption (standby)

In electrical engineering, power consumption refers to the electrical energy over time that must be supplied to an electrical appliance to maintain its operation. The power consumption is usually a result of power used to perform the intended function of the device plus additional "wasted" power that is dissipated as heat, vibration and/or electromagnetic waves.

Unterm Strich eine fast perfekte Festplatte.more
