The Yi 4K+ is a perfect alternative to the more expensive competing products.

I use the Yi 4K+ to take photos and record short video sequences while diving. The Yi makes a high-quality impression, and the water case keeps its promise: it is waterproof. The operation is simple and intuitive, the image quality surprised me very much; despite low light, the Yi does a good job. Sound is OK outside the case.
The app is stable. The Yi 4K can be controlled remotely via the app. One criticism: the app could be a little more user-friendly.

Best alternative to good porridge vs G0Pr0

Good G0Pr0 alternative that is really good. I bought it on Black Friday because the G0Pr0 H3r0 6 came out shortly before with a significant price premium and, in my opinion, a slightly worse picture and sound (in contrast to the H**o 5).
I found the Yi 4K + through YT and got it on Black Friday.
I can still support my decision for it, the camera performs amazingly in terms of technology, 4K/60 runs perfectly, UI is nice and simple, Wifi / Bluetooth is really fast.
My first test started directly with night shots, illuminated only by the mobile phone torch, you could still recognise a surprising amount, i.e. good low-light behaviour.
The Usb Type C is simply practical
    Camera winch directly on camera

    Basically recommendable, with some weaknesses

A good action camera with a better image quality than the GoPros. The operation is simple, but the menu navigation could be a bit more sophisticated. The sound quality of the built-in microphone is... well. It does the job, but it could be better. Especially when the camera is in the protective housing, the sound could be omitted altogether. The connection via WLAN with the smartphone sometimes works, sometimes not. Despite the latest update. Often it simply interrupts. The app requires too many permissions. The exchangeable battery, the size, the quick readiness, the appealing picture quality, the protective case and the price are good. Despite the plastic, it feels good and robust and is very light, which is an advantage for an action cam. Metal would be nicer and more stable, but it also has disadvantages. In general, despite the negative points, it is a recommendable piece of equipment. It is also excellent as an "always-on cam", especially because the handling is much more pleasant than with smartphones. And notorious portrait filmers should also be able to produce decent 16:9 videos.
The individual ratings for sound, user-friendliness, etc. are measured against what would be technically possible today.
