Record player connected to the digital system, old amplifier and everything else can go.

The unit is ideal for connecting a record player to a digital music system (e.g. SONOS).
The levels of these electrodynamic pick-ups are very low, and an equaliser is needed. The normal red-white input of the "Connect" is
not suitable for this and thus needs a preamplifier.
The Vincent can be adjusted to three types of pickups

    - electrodynamic MC (moving coil)
    - electrodynamic MM (moving magnet) with 100 pF input capacitance
    - electrodynamic MM (moving magnet) with 300 pF input capacitance

Unfortunately, this information is not available in the manual of my turntable.
Fortunately, the manual of the Vincent gives hints on how to select it by ear.

Because of this low level, not just any audio cable is suitable for connection to the turntable. I had to struggle with humming. The manual warns not to operate the Vincent near WLAN transmitters. A SONOS system, for example, consists of loud WLAN devices. Nevertheless, I managed to get rid of the humming noise, which was due to the audio cable. It would be nice if something like that were included.

    • Nice design that looks good in the living room

    Contra

    • an audio cable suitable for low levels and WLAN environment could be supplied
