  Quite ok - but High Reliability with 50% "preventive failures" after not quite 2 years of operation.

  For about 15'400h in operation, I now have SMART errors (uncorrectable sector count) on 2 of 4 disks. I hope the other two won't follow soon.
  Performance-wise sufficient for my NAS - I get decent transfer rates, but here I am basically more concerned with the mass and not primarily with performance. more

  Good price-performance ratio

  I will only be able to say in a few years' time whether the decision to buy this product was a good one.
  I have installed the HD in a fanless, external enclosure. It gets noticeably warm under continuous load, but is still below the upper limit of the operating temperature range.
  Head positioning noises are audible in the open case, blub - blub - blub. Since the HD is only powered up when needed, this doesn't bother me as much.
  The price had to be acceptable to me, reliability is important. I expect a product that has been designed for that. It is not the fastest HD. Since I use it as a storage unit, it is more than sufficient. more
